In the manner of "The Great Debaters," the DC Urban Debate League brings together teams of students to teach them the skills and the discipline necessary to argue a point and defend a position on a wide range of subjects.

   •   Beautification Day 2007 TRT: 14 min.
Students, DCPS staff and neighbors all join in to paint, prune and spruce up DC schools at the annual kickoff event.

   •   Education Matters Show #1 TRT: 16 min.
Superintendent Deborah Gist, Office of the State Superintendent of Education, sits down with OSSE intern, Delilia Scott, in the DSTV studio to answer questions about the growth and restructuring of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education. The show is hosted by McKinley Tech seniors Leroy Massey and Keisha White.
